New York Jets fans still have no idea who their quarterback actually is. One day, owner Woody Johnson throws Justin Fields under the bus, and the next, head coach Aaron Glenn calmly assures the media — “Don’t worry, we will have a quarterback on Sunday.”
Yes, you read that right.

So apparently, if the Bengals find out who the QB is, they might suddenly unlock the cheat code to world domination! Glenn seems to think he’s holding onto some top-secret nuclear launch code instead of a depth chart.
Right now, the Jets’ QB room has three candidates — Fields, Taylor, and rookie Brady Cook — and according to Glenn, he has “all the confidence in the world” in all of them. The only problem? The Jets haven’t scored a single touchdown in two straight games. At this point, Jets fans celebrate field goals like birthday parties.
Glenn tried to stay diplomatic while addressing his owner’s comments —
“The first thing I’ll say, he’s an owner, and he has a right to his opinion, and when you look at that, it’s really something that’s been said across the board from everybody, including Justin: ‘Man, we have to improve,’” Glenn said. “And we understand that. We’ve gone two games without scoring a touchdown, and we have to make sure we get better in that aspect. So we’re all on the same page.”
Apparently, everyone’s “on the same page” — though it’s unclear whether that page belongs to the playbook or the lost-and-found section.
Glenn added that he’s focused on “winning this game” rather than the off-field noise. That’s great, but maybe naming your QB could help with that “winning” part. Otherwise, it’s starting to feel like the Jets are playing a weekly game of Guess Who? — Quarterback Edition.
Meanwhile, the Bengals’ defense is probably laughing in practice thinking, “Bro, they don’t even know who’s starting.”
If next week Glenn comes out and says, “We’ll have a quarterback, but I can’t tell you who because it’s classified NASA-level information,” no one will even be surprised.
