Arthur Blank donation

When people think of NFL owners, they usually imagine rich folks who treat money like Monopoly cash.
But not all of them fit that stereotype — and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank just proved that some touchdowns happen off the field too.

Hurricane Melissa recently tore through Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti — killing 25 people and flooding entire towns. Amid the devastation, one man decided to throw a different kind of pass — a charity pass.

On Wednesday, Arthur Blank announced a $2.5 million donation toward Hurricane Melissa relief efforts.
His foundation, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, is sending $1.5 million to World Central Kitchen and $1 million to Team Rubicon.
So yeah — even if he’s not throwing footballs, he’s definitely throwing money in the right direction.

Here’s what Blank said in his statement:

I mean, who else talks about “meaningful family memories” while Category 5 chaos is unfolding? Respect.
This isn’t just a one-time “PR move” either — Blank’s foundation has a history of jumping in when disaster strikes.

Meteorologists say Melissa has now weakened to a Category 2 storm and is heading toward the Bahamas.
The storm may still be raging, but Arthur Blank already scored a major humanity touchdown.

Maybe one day all NFL owners will take notes — because not all victories come with a trophy.
