The Arizona Cardinals seem to have made up their minds — when something’s working, don’t mess with it! After their big Monday night win over the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that Jacoby Brissett will once again start at quarterback this Sunday.
“Jacoby will start, Kyler will work on his health bucket.”

In other words, Kyler Murray is still in “foot recovery mode” on the sidelines, while Gannon is clearly happy with how smoothly Brissett has been running the offense. Basically, his message is simple — “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Kyler Murray is still getting healthy, Gannon said. But "I do like how we're operating as an offense" and so he's not waiting to say Brissett will remain the QB.
As for Murray, his situation is starting to make fans a little nervous. He hasn’t played since October 5th because of a foot injury. Reports say he’s consulted multiple doctors, but everyone’s giving him the same advice—“Be patient, man!”

Meanwhile, Brissett is taking full advantage of his opportunity. In his three starts this season, he’s averaging 256 passing yards with six touchdowns and just one interception. Murray, by comparison, averaged 170 passing yards with six touchdowns and three picks in his five starts. The numbers alone explain why Gannon is sticking with the veteran.
So for now, there’s no QB drama in Arizona — Brissett plays, Murray heals, and Gannon sips his coffee in peace. But since this is the NFL (“Never Final League”), don’t be surprised if everything flips upside down next week. After all, plot twists are basically part of the playbook!
