Ward has already faced the league’s third-highest pressure rate and has been sacked 11 times in just two games. In short, he’s going to have to give his all just to survive each week. “I really don’t care about completion percentage. I want to score touchdowns,” Ward said.

Support-wise, everyone in the Titans organization wants him properly guided. President Chad Brinker said, “We just need Cam to be Cam.” The truth is, Ward’s biggest challenge right now is blending his raw talent with patience to consistently contribute on the field. If this rookie shines the way he can, the Titans just might taste victory—or at least leave all of us impressed for a few weeks.
