That’s exactly what happened on Monday Night Football. The Arizona Cardinals pulled off a stunning 27–17 win over the Dallas Cowboys — all thanks to Jacoby Brissett. The man completed 21 of 31 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Basically, he turned what was supposed to be a “fill-in job” into a full-time takeover.
During ESPN’s broadcast, legendary commentators Troy Aikman and Joe Buck couldn’t help but throw some serious shade — in the most polite way possible — toward Kyler Murray’s future.

Social media went wild, of course. One clip from the game showed Joe Buck pointing out “the elephant in the room” — the Brissett vs. Murray debate — and Aikman dropped the mic with his take: “They can’t take Brissett off the field now.”

Arizona fans are all in on Brissett right now — “In Jacoby We Trust.”
And the head coach? Probably whispering to himself, “How do I bench the guy who just went into Dallas and dominated?”
Brissett’s performance didn’t just light up the scoreboard — it changed the entire locker room vibe. He’s got the confidence, the composure, and now, maybe even the starting job.
Meanwhile, poor Kyler might be facing an existential crisis: “Is football still my thing, or did my backup just steal my destiny?”
