“Are They Rigging This?” — Colts Fans Explode After Extra-Point Chaos! Refs Back in ‘Comedy Mode’ Again!

Sunday in Indianapolis felt less like an NFL game and more like a full-on drama series. The Colts–Texans showdown turned into pure chaos, thanks to a couple of calls that looked like the refs were running a “Referee Pro Max: Disaster Edition” update.

The game was tied 13-13, and the Texans’ drive looked absolutely cooked—until the refs swooped in like superheroes nobody asked for, handing out a defensive pass interference call that gave Houston new life.
Moments later, Nico Collins cashed it in with a rushing touchdown. Score: 19-13.

But the night’s biggest plot twist came right after—Ka’imi Fairbairn’s extra-point attempt. The ball looked clearly outside the right upright for everyone watching…
Except the officials, who somehow saw it as GOOD.

Even CBS play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle couldn’t hold back his shock when he said:

He followed it up with: “That did not look good.”
Beside him, Texans legend JJ Watt tried to soften the blow, saying,
“Colts fans, go grab a drink real quick. That was a tough sequence.”

Bro, Colts fans didn’t just grab drinks—they were about to file a complaint to the NFL office.

Boos rained down in the stadium, and head coach Shane Steichen practically turned into the Hulk on the sideline screaming about a missed delay of game. On social media, fans were even more savage.

One fan wrote:
“We’ve had bad pass interference calls all weekend… but this one was very bad. And they missed a delay of game too!”

Another asked the question of the night:
“Are they rigging this NFL game?”

Adding salt to the wounds, NFL rules analyst Gene Steratore explained that the kick couldn’t be reviewed because it went over the upright.
He reminded everyone:
“By rule, the entire ball must be inside the outside edge of the upright.”

Translation: even if your eyes say the ball missed… the rulebook says “cope.”

The Colts tried to stay alive with a field goal, but asking QB Daniel Jones—playing on a broken leg—to engineer a comeback was basically asking for a miracle.

And it got worse: Sauce Gardner went down with a serious-looking injury and returned wearing a walking boot. At this point, it feels like the football gods have a personal vendetta against Indianapolis.

Bottom line? Colts fans suffered, refs acted wild, and the NFL served another hot plate of weekly controversy.
