Amon-Ra St. Brown fight Daron Payne

Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne may be missing Week 11, but he’s definitely not staying quiet. After getting suspended for one game, Payne decided to tell his side of the story — and oh boy, it’s spicy!

During the Lions vs. Commanders game, things got heated between Payne and Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown. The refs apparently took a nap mid-game because they somehow missed St. Brown throwing the first punch.

On Tuesday, Payne shared an Instagram video showing St. Brown swinging at his helmet while an NFL official stood nearby, watching like it was a Netflix episode instead of a live game.

In the clip, you can even see a Commanders player in the background signaling for a flag — but it never came. Instead, when Payne swung back, he got penalized and ejected. Talk about double standards!

After the game, Commanders defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw didn’t hold back. He made it crystal clear who threw the first punch and what he thought of the refs’ “selective vision.”

Translation: St. Brown started it, the refs saw it, and still acted like they didn’t. Classic NFL officiating.

The result? Lions won 44–22, Payne got suspended, and St. Brown walked away untouched. Payne’s appeal was denied on Tuesday, meaning he’ll miss the Commanders’ Week 11 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

But here’s the twist — after Payne’s video went viral, the league might have to take a second look at St. Brown’s role. If the NFL decides to punish him too, the Lions could be in serious trouble heading into their big Week 11 clash with the 7–2 Philadelphia Eagles.

In short, the NFL may not be great at preventing on-field fights, but when it comes to drama — they’re undefeated!
