Dexter Lawrence & Carl Banks

There’s chaos in New York — not just on the Giants’ defense, but in their locker room vibes too! Star defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence and Giants legend Carl Banks are now in a full-blown “mic war.”

It all started after the Giants got crushed 38–20 by the Eagles. Banks, now a radio broadcaster, said something that instantly lit the fuse: teams “no longer respect” Dexter Lawrence. Yep, the same guy who was once the heart of the Giants’ defense apparently doesn’t scare anyone anymore. That’s like telling Thor his hammer’s made of plastic.

To be fair, Lawrence’s 2025 season hasn’t been stellar — half a sack, four QB hits, and 20 tackles in eight games. Compare that to last year’s monster numbers — nine sacks, 44 tackles, and 16 hits — and you’ll see why the legend’s a bit disappointed.

But Lawrence wasn’t about to let that slide. On Wednesday, he fired back with some spicy, unfiltered energy:

And when reporters asked him about Banks’ comments, his response went nuclear:

Boom. Three words — “He’s delusional.” — and the internet exploded. On one side, fans say Banks was right to call him out; on the other, people are joking that “Delusional” might as well be Lawrence’s new nickname.

Meanwhile, the Giants are sitting at 2–6, and things are looking bleak. The next five games? All against winning teams. So if Lawrence isn’t “delusional,” he better start being “dominant” — and soon.
