Fresh off his NFL debut, Dillon Gabriel shines in Browns’ preseason finale—setting the tone with composure, leadership, and his first touchdown.
The Cleveland Browns wrapped up a perfect 3–0 preseason with a narrow 19–17 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Huntington Bank Field on August 23.
In just his second NFL game, QB Dillon Gabriel made a statement. He directed two scoring drives:
- A 15-play, 70-yard drive that ended in a field goal; and
- A fast, 86-yard two-minute drive, capped off with his first NFL touchdown, going 9-for-11 during that series.
Gabriel finished with 129 passing yards—the most on the team—and accounted for 10 points in critical moments. His poise under pressure didn’t go unnoticed. Kevin Stefanski praised his work ethic, noting, “For Dillon (Gabriel), it goes back to the spring … just needs to continue to build on that work.”
