Right after the Denver Broncos pulled off a historic comeback win against the New York Giants, things took a wild turn — and linebacker Dre Greenlaw became the main character in his own postgame drama.
It all started during the Giants’ final drive — where the officiating looked like something straight out of a bad video game. That “roughing the passer” call? More like incidental contact. Then came the infamous pass interference flag that made every Broncos fan question reality itself.
Greenlaw couldn’t let it go. As the game ended, he went after referee Brad Allen, and what followed could easily be called the NFL version of a street argument outside a bar.
#Broncos LB Dre Greenlaw, just back from an injury, was suspended without pay for one game for unsportsmanlike conduct following Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Translation: the man just came back from injury — only to injure his bank account! NFL wasted no time handing him a one-game suspension without pay.

And yes, there’s a video of it. You can literally see Greenlaw chasing the ref like the man owed him fantasy football points!
Sure, threatening a ref isn’t exactly “sportsmanlike,” but honestly… who can blame him? Those calls were so bad that even fans were ready to throw their remotes at the TV.
In the end, Greenlaw got off easy with just a one-game suspension. As one fan joked, “At least this time he’s missing a game for anger, not injury!”
He’ll sit out the Broncos’ Week 8 matchup against the Cowboys — but fans are still saying what we’re all thinking: “Maybe it’s time the NFL started suspending refs too.”
