Everything’s Upended at the Egg Bowl! On-Field Mayhem and Bench-Clearing Brawl (Video)

Oh boy, the Ole Miss vs Mississippi State Egg Bowl turned into an absolute circus this time! The game on Thursday started normally, but late in the second quarter at Starkville’s Davis Wade Stadium, chaos erupted with a bench-clearing brawl!

The score was Rebels 14, Bulldogs 7 when Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss got hit and seemed to fumble the ball. That sparked a scramble on the field, with players diving, shouting, and shoving everywhere.

Amid the pileup, Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright and Mississippi State linebacker Tyler Lockhart grabbed each other’s facemasks and tried a few swings. That small scuffle quickly escalated, and soon both benches emptied onto the field.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin tried to keep things in perspective:

Making it clear that this game was meant for football, not fighting.

The Egg Bowl isn’t just any game; it’s one of college football’s oldest and most storied rivalries, dating back to 1901. So, a little tension, shouting, and sudden brawls are almost part of the package.

In the end, after all the chaos, Ole Miss came out on top with an impressive 38–19 victory over Mississippi State. And of course, with players high-fiving and fans cheering, clips of the fight went viral on social media.

So remember, the Egg Bowl isn’t just about football—sometimes it comes with bench fights and massive on-field chaos too!
