But here’s the catch — Thomas Jr. hasn’t exactly been lighting it up this season. He’s been targeted 54 times and has caught just 27 passes for 365 yards and one touchdown. His chemistry with Trevor Lawrence looks weaker than a bad Wi-Fi signal, and the drops haven’t helped.
For new GM James Gladstone, this is one tricky equation. On one hand, the offense hasn’t clicked. On the other, the defense needs help.
