Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels had his left elbow bend in a way that made even horror movie directors say, “Too much!” During Sunday’s game against Seattle, Daniels’ arm bent the wrong way as he went down — and fans collectively screamed, “Oh no!”

The good news? Daniels avoided ligament damage and won’t need surgery. The bad news? He won’t be back until Week 13 — by which time Washington’s season might already be cooked.

With the Commanders sitting at 3-6 and facing the Detroit Lions next, it’s fair to wonder if it’s even worth bringing him back. Head coach Dan Quinn told ESPN, “We haven’t discussed any of that,” meaning — yeah, no plan yet.

This season started with so much optimism for Washington, but it’s quickly turned into pure chaos. Daniels led the team to the NFC title game last year as a rookie, but this year, he’s been practically a full-time member of the medical team — first a knee sprain, then hamstring issues, and now this nightmare elbow dislocation. His body’s basically telling him, “Bro, take a seat.”

And get this — Daniels suffered the injury while Washington was losing by 31 points. Even Coach Quinn admitted it wasn’t the smartest call: “I get that. I’ve been thinking about it nonstop, too, and the answer is, man, I missed it.” Translation: “Yup, my bad.”

Now, Daniels is in a cast, Marcus Mariota is stepping in, and the Commanders’ offense looks like a hospital ward. Receivers Terry McLaurin, Noah Brown, and Luke McCaffrey are all hurt, and the team’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread.

Still, Washington isn’t putting Daniels on injured reserve just yet.

So, to sum it up — the QB’s sidelined, the coach’s confused, the fans are frustrated, and the season? Yeah, it’s limping worse than Daniels’ elbow.
