New York Jets fans are still rubbing their eyes at that “0-2” start. Two weeks, two losses—and yet Coach Aaron Glenn insists everything is fine. Well, mostly fine. The sky isn’t falling… it’s just that opposing running backs are driving buses straight through the Jets’ defense.

Glenn, with all the confidence in the world, declared:

Sure, coach, the sky may not be falling—but Justin Fields is out with a concussion, and now Tyrod Taylor has to transform into Captain America to drag this ship forward. Small problem though: this ship has way too many leaks.

In the opener against the Steelers, fans actually had a little hope. Justin Fields showed flashes, the offense had some spark. But then the Bills came along and snuffed that flame with a 30–10 beatdown. Suddenly, the whole “culture change” talk vanished faster than the Jets’ playoff chances.

And the injuries? Oh boy. The list is starting to look like a new season of ER. Fields is out. Jermaine Johnson (ankle), Josh Reynolds (hamstring), Kene Nwangwu (hamstring)—all sidelined. Right now, the only place the Jets’ names appear consistently is on the injury report.

As for the defense, the embarrassment is still fresh. After giving up 224 rushing yards to Buffalo, Quinnen Williams said they made “a pact” not to let that disaster happen again. Glenn echoed the sentiment: “That’s how it’s supposed to be,” Glenn said. “In my opinion, you take every game personal. You find something within each game to figure out how you can take it personal. … So when you give up the yards that we’ve given up, I mean, you should look within yourself and figure out what can I do better, myself individually and then us as a team to make sure it doesn’t happen again?”.

Look, Jets fans have been taking every game “personal” for years now. All we ask is—maybe just win one this time? Otherwise, this whole “sky’s not falling” line is going to be permanent meme material.

So if you’re heading to Tampa on Sunday, pack an umbrella. The coach says the sky isn’t falling, but it might rain touchdowns. And trust us—the scoreboard is going to get soaked.
