Bad news for Baltimore Ravens fans—actually, scratch that, terrible news. The team already stumbled to a 1-3 start, and now they’re losing their engine room, quarterback Lamar Jackson, for a few weeks thanks to a hamstring injury. Yep, the Ravens’ entire season is now at the mercy of one muscle.
Jackson went down during Sunday’s 37-20 beatdown at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Ravens trailing 30-13 late in the third quarter, he exited the game, sparking fan theories that he “quit” on the team. But no, the truth is a lot less spicy and a lot more medical.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson could be out for up to 2-3 weeks and is likely to miss Sunday’s game against the visiting Houston Texans with a hamstring injury, two sources with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Baltimore Sun on Tuesday. Read more:… pic.twitter.com/uxcYiSjaZ9

Translation: Baltimore will face the Texans (Week 5) and then the Rams (Week 6) without their superstar QB. Luckily, Week 7 is a bye, so if things go according to plan, Lamar might get a full month of recovery while missing only three games. Think of it as hitting the “season pause button.”
Head coach John Harbaugh tried to calm conspiracy-hungry fans, saying Lamar would’ve gone back into the Chiefs game if he physically could, no matter the score. Unfortunately, the hamstring had the final word.
Now comes the million-dollar question: who’s steering the ship in Lamar’s absence? The answer—Cooper Rush. Yes, that Cooper Rush. He’s the only other quarterback on the active roster. The Ravens may look to sign a veteran, but until then, it’s basically a real-life NFL version of “Who Wants to Be a Backup QB?”
So yeah, Ravens fans—it’s time to pray for Lamar’s speedy recovery, stock up on stress balls, and maybe just laugh through the pain. Because let’s be honest: Cooper Rush under center is less “next man up” and more “season 2 of a comedy show nobody asked for.”
