Football fans, remember—every time you go to a game, you’ll see something you’ve never seen before. This rule was originally for Major League Baseball, said by Tim Kurkjian. But now we can safely say it applies to the NFL too.
The Arizona Cardinals vs Tennessee Titans game delivered an absolute WTF moment. With the Titans facing a 3rd-and-2 just inside the Cardinals’ red zone, rookie quarterback Cam Ward was flushed out of the pocket and to his left. Late in the play, he attempted a throw that was deflected and intercepted by Arizona safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson.
Taylor-Demerson secured the interception but then tumbled to the turf—and lost the football. What followed was utter chaos. In the end, the ball ended up in the end zone, and Tennessee wide receiver Tyler Lockett recovered it for possibly the strangest touchdown of the season.

CBS Sports analyst Gene Steratore said, “You see things that you’ve never seen before if you hang around long enough.” And indeed—watch long enough, and football will always surprise you. Somewhere, Tim Kurkjian is probably nodding in agreement.
Fans are busy making memes and viral clips, while the rest of us sit back with popcorn muttering, “Oh wow… WTF again!” Moments like this are what make the NFL endlessly entertaining.
In the end, the Titans turned that chaotic play into six points, delivering a rollercoaster experience in a single sequence.
