Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore is back in some trouble in Lakewood, Ohio. On January 7, he was arrested on suspicion of two weapons-related charges, according to Cleveland-based NBC affiliate 3News. The 29-year-old is accused of carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Police said he was a passenger in a car stopped for expired plates and other traffic violations. Lattimore was arrested because he failed to inform officers that a firearm was in the vehicle

It seems the team is keeping a low profile, especially since this isn’t Lattimore’s first weapon-related incident.
In fact, Marshon Lattimore has a history with weapon arrests. Back in 2021, Cleveland police also pulled him over while he was a passenger in a car with two others. Officers said he failed to properly notify them about a firearm, which turned out to be stolen. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor, while the felony charge was dropped. Lattimore’s attorney Marcus Sidoti said his client was unaware the gun was stolen

His football career is far from dull. Drafted 11th overall by the New Orleans Saints in 2017, Lattimore won Defensive Rookie of the Year that same season and has been a four-time Pro Bowler. Unfortunately, after being traded to the Commanders mid-2024 season, he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 9.
Interestingly, Lattimore’s life seems like a mix of drama—football, trades, injuries, and now a “road trip adventure” with the police. Many on social media joked that his skills now include dodging the law as well as quarterbacks.
