Packers vs Eagles tush push missed call

Tuesday night’s Monday Night Football (MNF) matchup kicked off, and social media immediately went up in flames. The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles were locked at 0-0, but the first quarter featured a moment so “blatant” that fans went after the refs with full force.

Here’s the deal: When the Eagles tried a third-and-one play using the upgraded version of the QB sneak, the “tush push,” the referees completely missed a very obvious false start and allowed the play to continue. The hilarious twist? It was the Packers themselves who originally proposed banning the tush push!

Fans didn’t hold back on social media. “The first one and the refs still can’t get it called right,” one posted on X.

Another added, “Yeah, the tush push gotta go. These refs have no idea how to officiate it.”

Chief referee Clay Martin, in his eighth season as a head referee and 11th overall in the NFL, somehow managed to miss an extremely simple call. One viewer asked in disbelief, “How is that not called? How is that ‘hard to officiate’?”

The frustration didn’t stay online. “I mean, it is blatant every time on the tush push and refs turn a blind eye,” one fan said.

Even ESPN’s Mike Greenberg called it out: “How do they not call that? This play is just a joke.”

By the end of the first half, the score remained 0-0. The refs seemed completely out of sync, and social media fans were in full revolt, insisting that maybe they should start officiating the game themselves. At this rate, who needs refs when the Twitter crowd is this passionate?
