It seems like every day is trade season in New England. The Patriots picked Tuesday to feel like a blockbuster movie, where characters are constantly changing. First up, our favorite defensive end Keion White suddenly landed with the San Francisco 49ers. Everyone probably thought, “Wait, where did White go?”—and just like that, the news broke.

But the Patriots didn’t stop there. Shortly after White’s departure, news came in that Safety Kyle Dugger would be heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers, again in a late-round pick swap. Dugger had lost his starting role, so he’s now off to a new opportunity with the Steelers.

In short, the Patriots remixed their roster like a Spotify playlist where all the songs play at once. Fans are left dizzy, wondering, “Who went where, and who’s coming in?”
As for Keion White, drafted in 2023 as a second-round pick, he has six career sacks under his belt. Dugger now faces a new challenge in Pittsburgh, filling a spot left vacant by DeShon Elliott’s injury. The Patriots will also cover part of Dugger’s remaining $9.75 million salary.
At the end of the day, the Patriots threw a full-blown trade party. Saying goodbye to White and Dugger is a bit nostalgic, but the new picks bring some hope. The Patriots’ roster now has fresh names, fresh possibilities, and a little excitement.
