Life as a Cleveland Browns fan feels like living in a Netflix drama—every week comes with a new twist, a new dose of pain. The 34–10 loss to the Detroit Lions felt like yet another “season finale,” where 40-year-old Joe Flacco basically screamed: “Don’t blame me if I retire after this!”

Flacco put up 184 yards, but with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. The Browns’ coaching staff clearly knows this movie isn’t working anymore. So, in Week 5, Dillon Gabriel might take over under center.

But the real spotlight somehow landed on third-string QB Shedeur Sanders. The guy hasn’t played a single regular-season snap yet, but talks like he’s ready to “take over the league by next Sunday.” That’s when Rex Ryan entered the chat, blasting him live on ESPN like he just discovered the loudspeaker setting.

Rex’s message couldn’t be clearer—“Sit down, study, and stop running your mouth unless you actually prove it on the field.”

To be fair, Shedeur himself said last week, “If you see the quarterback play in the league right now, I know I’m capable of doing better than that.” Sounds confident, but NFL veterans usually don’t have much patience for rookies flexing before they’ve even played a snap.

Meanwhile, the Browns (1–3) are still searching for answers. If Gabriel struggles, Shedeur might actually get his chance. But the way things are going, he’s at risk of becoming the league’s anti-hero before he even steps on the field.

Right now, the Browns’ QB room is less of a football strategy board and more of a drama show—an aging Flacco, a rookie Gabriel, and a mouth-running Sanders.
