After a 38–37 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks, it wasn’t just the scoreboard that broke in the Los Angeles Rams’ locker room—Sean McVay’s inner calm also took a hit. Why? Because of a “livestream-tweet-dance combo package” by Puka Nacua that went viral off the field.
The week-long antics of Nacua reached a point where, in the postgame press conference, McVay honestly seemed clueless. When asked how Adin Ross and N3on got on team property, McVay’s reaction was classic “excuse me, what?” He said,
“Yeah, I don’t know anything about that stuff. They came on our property?”
Basically, the coach was still wondering—are we a football team or a YouTube collab house?
Then came the controversial livestream dance. McVay softened up here, taking on a little “parent mode.” He made it clear that Nacua had apologized. In McVay’s words,
“He was very apologetic. I don’t think he understood the totality of some of the things. I think he issued that apology… He’s a young guy that’s a great kid that’s continuing to learn about the platform that he has. I love him. We’re going to continue to put our arm around him and help him learn and grow.”
In short: mistakes were made, scolding happened, but no bans—at least for now.
But the drama didn’t stop there. Right after the game, Nacua posted a tweet (later deleted) criticizing the officials. McVay learned about it live during the press conference, resulting in his ultimate “I don’t know anything” stance.

And of course, McVay’s classic lines:
“What are you talking about?”
“So what are you asking me about right now? I can’t answer questions about something that I’m not aware of.”
All in all, the Rams are sticking by Nacua, but it’s clear this young star still has some growing up to do off the field. He can catch touchdowns, but the Twitter-livestream-dance triple threat is still a work in progress.
