The Cleveland Browns’ rookie QB duo, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, turned what should have been a straightforward game into a mini NFL reality show. With the Browns sitting at the bottom of the AFC North this season, these two rookies definitely added some colorful chaos to the mix.
During the game, Shedeur Sanders, making his first NFL start, racked up 149 yards and a touchdown. But after taking a hit, Dillon Gabriel got the green light for one play. Gabriel was ready… but oh no! He didn’t see who was coming, and Sanders dashed back onto the field like a whirlwind. Gabriel had to turn around mid-play and head back to the sideline. Social media, of course, had a field day.
The drama didn’t stop there. Sanders also had a heated sideline exchange with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, making it feel like these two might just be the Browns’ new comedy duo.
Sanders’ style this season? Assertive, witty, and zero tolerance for “rude questions.” After the game, when a reporter asked about Stefanski’s playcalling, Sanders didn’t hold back.

Clearly, Sanders is more focused on playing the game than pointing fingers.
Fans, naturally, had a lot to say. One wrote, “Shedeur was better than Gabriel would have been today. Neither of these guys is a starting QB.” Another added, “Gabriel not knowing Sanders was coming back out was one more reason he shouldn’t play. He almost killed Judkins on his check down pass also. Play call should’ve just been a handoff.” And for pure sarcasm: “They both suck… so there’s that.”
It’s clear that the Browns’ rookie QB drama is far from over. Sanders’ assertiveness combined with Gabriel’s confused wristband moment is guaranteed to be highlight reel material in future Browns games.
