Shedeur Sanders Snaps Back at Reporter — “So You Just Want To Start Trouble?” Sabotage Drama Hits Browns Camp!

The NFL never sleeps — and apparently neither do its conspiracy theories. This week, Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders delivered a Hall of Fame–level clapback after a reporter tried stirring the pot with a spicy “sabotage” question.

It all started when a reporter casually dropped a bombshell in the middle of the presser, claiming that Sanders’ “supporters” believe head coach Kevin Stefanski was trying to sabotage him. And Sanders? The son of Deion Sanders didn’t hesitate for a second. He fired back:

The reporter quickly insisted “no,” but Sanders wasn’t done. He explained calmly that he can’t control what people say outside the building — basically a polite NFL version of “Bro, don’t drag me into your comment section drama.”

He doubled down on his respect for Stefanski, saying he’s “just happy to be here,” and that the coach has been guiding him from day one.

Let’s rewind though. Shedeur entered the 2024 draft as a high-profile prospect, only to slide to the fifth round where the Browns scooped him up at pick No. 144. He started out as QB4 behind Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.

Then came preseason weirdness — including Sanders being pulled before a two-minute drill against the Rams — which fed the “sabotage narrative.” Stefanski dismissed those theories back in August, saying he’s committed to developing all rookies equally.

Fast forward to Week 12: Dillon Gabriel enters concussion protocol, Sanders gets the nod, and boom — Shedeur throws for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a 24–10 win over the Raiders. Not bad for a so-called “sabotaged” QB.

Now he’s set to start against the 49ers, and Sanders says his relationship with Stefanski has “grown,” both on and off the field.

Translation: NFL Twitter can calm down… for now.
