ban the Tush Push

Every time the Eagles run it, social media explodes. Some call it the most brilliant innovation in the NFL, while others claim it’s ruining the sport. FOX Sports writers Henry McKenna and Ralph Vacchiano even jumped into the debate themselves.

McKenna argues it’s more than a play — it’s a refereeing nightmare.
“The refs don’t even know when Hurts has stopped or when the push begins,” he said.
Vacchiano coolly replied, “The problem isn’t the play — it’s the officials’ incompetence.”

And here’s the wild part — even astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson reportedly said the play is “unstoppable.”
So now, science itself seems to be siding with the Eagles!

Still, the outrage continues. Some fans call it an unfair advantage, while others are straight-up furious

And former NFL QB Chase Daniel couldn’t hold back either

At this point, Philadelphia might as well be its own football planet. Fans there say, “You can’t stop it, so you want to ban it?”
And the stats back them up — the Eagles’ Tush Push has an incredible 83% success rate.

McKenna now thinks the play’s time might be up — it’s time to close the 2006 rule loophole that allowed ball-carrier pushing.
Vacchiano, however, disagrees: “Unless there’s proof it’s more dangerous, let the tush pushing continue!”

No matter how the debate ends, one thing’s clear — the NFL is now divided into two camps:
Those who yell “Ban the Tush Push!” and those who proudly say,
“Don’t ban the Tush, just stop the Push!”
