Sunday’s 25–3 Jaguars blowout had one real highlight — and no, it wasn’t football. It was a full-on action movie subplot starring Titans running back Julius Chestnut and Jaguars punter Logan Cooke, who reportedly went from “special teams” to “special threats.”
According to Chestnut, the usually mild-mannered punter ran up to him and said he would kill him.
Yes. A punter. The guy whose job is literally to kick the ball and stay out of chaos.
Chestnut explained the situation after the game:

Chestnut added he had no idea what triggered Cooke, but hey—if this season has taught us anything, it’s that even punters can snap.
The second altercation was caught and replayed everywhere, showing Cooke charging Chestnut after a punt like he suddenly unlocked a hidden rage meter.

Before that, Chestnut delivered a hard block after Cooke’s punt, leading to Cooke being evaluated for a concussion. By the next possession, tensions were so high that the punter sprinted toward Chestnut again, sparking a full squad scuffle.
Flags flew everywhere.
Cooke got hit with an unnecessary roughness penalty.
Titans safety Mike Brown got ejected.
Fans got premium entertainment.
Chestnut, still confused about the whole “death threat” portion, said:
“I was just playing hard… That was surprising to me, I ain’t never seen nothing like that before.”
Meanwhile, Jaguars coach Liam Coen praised Cooke’s competitive fire but politely reminded him that maybe—just maybe—death threats aren’t part of the playbook.
In the end, the final score wasn’t the memorable part.
