The Tennessee Titans have officially decided it is time for another reboot, and this time the reset button comes labeled Robert Saleh. Yes, that Robert Saleh. The defensive-minded coach with a fiery sideline presence and a résumé that sparks debate faster than a bad referee call.
After a whirlwind interview process that went from virtual to very real in less than 24 hours, the Titans landed on Saleh as their next head coach. According to insiders, the meeting went well enough for both sides to feel confident moving forward. As reported,

Saleh, 46, is no stranger to pressure. His last head coaching stint with the New York Jets ended with a 20–36 record, zero playoff appearances, and a midseason firing in 2024. Not exactly a fairy tale. After that, he spent the remainder of the season as an offensive consultant with the Green Bay Packers, which sounds less dramatic than it probably was, before returning to San Francisco in 2025 for a second run as the 49ers defensive coordinator.
Now he arrives in Tennessee with a fresh opportunity and a very long to-do list. At the top of it is developing rookie quarterback Cam Ward and building an offensive coaching staff that can actually help him survive Sundays. The Titans are already framing the relationship as the foundation of their future, proudly teasing

and leaving fans to fill in the blanks with optimism.
There is also a rumor mill spinning at full speed. Word around the league is that former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel could join Saleh as offensive coordinator if he does not land another head coaching job. If that happens, it would be one of the more ironic twists in recent NFL memory, a defensive head coach leaning heavily on offensive creativity to save the day.
Defensively, Saleh will face another challenge. Outside of superstar defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons, the Titans roster is not exactly loaded with elite talent. Translation: scheme, motivation, and vibes will need to work overtime.
For now, Titans fans are cautiously hopeful, NFL fans are mildly amused, and Robert Saleh is back in the head coaching chair with another chance to prove this story ends differently.
