Eagles Go Full ‘Tush Push’ Madness! Giants Fans Yell – This Ain’t Football, It’s a Gym Class!

Thursday night at MetLife Stadium turned into something straight out of a weightlifting competition rather than a football game. The Philadelphia Eagles unleashed their signature Tush Push so many times in a row that even the Giants’ defense looked confused about what sport they were playing.

Midway through the second quarter, the Eagles ran four straight Tush Push plays to bulldoze their way into the end zone — and the NFL world absolutely lost its mind.

That fourth and final Tush Push gave the Eagles a 16–13 lead, but not without controversy. On the second push, officials appeared to completely miss a blatant false start by offensive lineman Tyler Steen — and fans were quick to call it out online.

Heading into this season, the Eagles have a jaw-dropping 96.6% success rate with this play, which is why many coaches and fans are calling for it to be banned. One anonymous coach told The Athletic:

“It’s getting very sloppy and officials can’t officiate it. They have to make sure no one is in the neutral zone and that no one moves before the ball. There are just a lot of missed calls on the play.”

Cowboys star Micah Parsons wasn’t impressed either. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and blasted,

“This is not football!” He even dropped two trash emojis for good measure — just in case anyone missed his point.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy chimed in too, saying:

“This is why tush push needs to be banned. Football is supposed to be entertainment. This ruins the game. No different than changing pass interference rules for more scoring. Nobody wants to watch this s–t.”

And Pro Football Focus writer Myles Simmons summed it up perfectly:

Love it or hate it, one thing’s clear — the Tush Push has become the NFL’s most polarizing play. To some, it’s genius strategy; to others, it’s a glitch in the matrix.

But one thing’s for sure — as long as the Eagles keep pushing, the internet will keep exploding.
