Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has once again found himself making headlines for reasons that have nothing to do with route running or touchdowns. Early Monday morning in Tampa, Florida, the 23 year old receiver was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge, adding yet another off field chapter to his growing highlight reel of legal trouble.
According to multiple reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of January 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa. Law enforcement records show Addison was taken into custody at 3:46 a.m. ET and later released the same afternoon after posting bail. The situation was not exactly subtle, nor was it quiet, especially once court documents became public.

Police records confirm the arrest location as 5223 Orient Drive, which just happens to be the address of the casino. Addison was booked at 7:33 a.m. and released at 2:40 p.m. after paying a $500 cash bond. The official charge was trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance, classified as a Level 1 misdemeanor. Not exactly the stat line Vikings fans were hoping to see this week.
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell addressed the situation cautiously when speaking with reporters on Tuesday, making it clear he was not rushing to judgment.

If this feels like déjà vu, that is because it is. Addison was arrested in July 2024 near Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of DUI after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel. He later pleaded guilty to a reduced “wet reckless” charge, received two misdemeanors, and was suspended three games to start the 2025 season. Before that, in July 2023, he was cited for driving 140 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone, because apparently speed limits are just friendly suggestions.
On the field, Addison’s production last season mirrored the chaos off it. The former first round pick finished with 42 catches for 610 yards and three touchdowns, all career lows, as the Vikings offense struggled to find consistency.
At this point, Addison’s talent is unquestioned. His judgment, however, remains very much under review.
